I've had this a long time. I think it is from early 1990's or late 80's. I did not used for telephone, just display. Has a little wear just from being around and moved around. It works except that this is rotary and I believe that you would need a converter to dial out with it. I think it will ring on incoming calls and you can talk on it. The animation and voice still work but it needs batteries It uses four C batteries The plastic TOON label has loosed a bit around the edges.
