Collectors of both antique Disneyana and scarce Christmas cards--Here's your opportunity to own a truly historical piece!The first Disney Studio Christmas card was printed in 1930 and there are only two known examples of that card. This is the second card from 1931 and is incredibly rare as well, with only a handful appearing at auction. It measures 5 x 7.5" on textured paper. The front reads "Yoo Hoo!" with a small image of a snow-covered house. Card opens to reveal text "A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year" with images of holly leaves and berries around a candle along with a superb full-color, tipped-in paper sheet. This is 4x5.5" and depicts a nighttime Christmas caroling scene featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. Printed below the illustration is the name of Carolyn Kay Shafer, Walt Disney's personal Secretary, who responded to all the children who would write to Mickey Mouse. This card was printed by Disney Productions for Shafer to send to her business contacts; another known variant is blank. The card exhibits expected light creasing and edgewear. Overall, it is in near fine condition with vivid colors. It is listed as "NEW" above as it shows no evidence of previous writing nor addressing to any individual.This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications) as well as numerous private auction houses. eBay Olszewski Disney World Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor Premiere 1st Edition. Is there a better feeling in the world than strolling down Main Street at the Magic Kingdom? Master artist and craftsman Thomas Olszewski expertly managed to capture the spirit, the beauty, and the nostalgia of Main Street USA. His love of the project is evident by the supreme quality in every minute detail. These very limited edition pieces are getting harder and harder to find, especially in the near mint to mint condition of the pieces I'm offering for auction. They all come complete in their original boxes, complete with flags, commemorative cards/tabs, and battery adapters. They've each been taken out of their boxes twice. Once, when originally purchased, and, now, so I could capture them on film. You may see some white spots on some of the buildings. Those are glares of light from the camera. I'm extremely passionate but not the best photographer, but if there are any abnormalities, I haven't seen them. That said, nothing is 100% flawless, I'm just saying that I've given each building a very thorough inspection, and they look magnificent! I can only ship to US addresses at this time. Good luck with your bids. This set is truly magical! Special Note...The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is the rarest, and most difficult to obtain of the Olszewski Main Street Series. The only slight blemish I could find is a less than one inch white mark on the wood base. It's illustrated in pictures 1 and 5. It can easily be painted or waxed over, I leave that up to you.
