This is a very rare Ron Lee piece. Limited to just 250 pieces. It was purchased at the 1992 Disneyanna Convention at Disneyworld. It is in excellent condition. This is a very big and heavy piece. This is an awesome and Very RARE Vintage DISNEY Store Mickey Mouse Large Big Fig Store Display Figure, comprised of painted fiberglass resin, with its original use being a store display at the widely successful Disney Store during the late 1980's - 1990's. Mickey Mouse is crouching or bowing at the waist, with his arms outstretched and his body leaning forward, and he is mounted on a painted wooden base. This figure was likely placed high up on the top of a shelf in The Disney Store, waving down at customers, or perhaps he may have been a window display. This particular figure is exceptionally scarce, and I cannot find any comparable pieces to this one which have ever been offered for sale online. Mickey's crouching height is approximately 15 1/2 inches tall (including base.) The base is 19 inches wide x 1 1/4 inches tall, and this figure measures from hand to hand 27 inches in width. Its height (as it is posed in Photo 1) is approximately 33 1/2 inches. Good condition for decades of age and storage, with moderate scratching, scuffing, paint loss, and edge wear throughout (please see photos.) Acquired from an old collection in Long Beach, California. Due to the large size of this piece, S&H costs will be unavoidably high. However, Free Local Pickup from Los Angeles County, California is also an option. Priced to Sell. These Disney Store display figures are very hard to find because they were ordered to be destroyed when the stores closed. Very few original pieces remain in private hands. This came from a storage locker with many of these Disney figures in boxes. I'm not sure how much it was displayed. The back arm has a marking on it. I think it was just bubble wrap put inside to prevent it from moving in the styrofoam, but am not 100% sure. I think it would wipe off, but I haven't tried. It looks great overall, but has a little wear from just being inside the box in the foam for so long. It did light up, there is a photo showing it turned on. I took a lot of close up photos to help show the condition. It includes the original box, COA, and foam inserts (the exterior of the shipping box has a good amount of wear; I will put it all into a new box for shipping) Please see all photos for condition and feel free to ask any questions.The box is quite large and heavy. JOURNEY INTO IMAGINATION ORIGINAL RIDE PROP FROM 1983An original prop designed by Disney Imagineer Tom Sherman for the original incarnation of "Journey Into Imagination" at EPCOT Center in Walt Disney World. This piece was seen in the Dreamport section of the ride where Figment and Dreamfinder unload all of the ideas they've collected from across the universe for sorting and storing. It was removed from the ride in 1998 when the ride was completely renovated. Measures 27" x 14.5" x 1.15"Included with the prop is a copy of the WDI property pass that was issued for this piece along with 4 others from the ride when they were marked as trash and removed from the park. Disney Auctions LE 350 Lilo & Stitch Tourist Big Fig Figure Figurine Statue 626 Tourist Stitch "Disney Big" Figure Prototype (Walt Disney, 2004). Disney "Big Fig" figurines were very popular with collectors in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They were sold at Disney Stores and Disney Theme Parks. A second type, different from Stores and Parks, were sold through Disney Catalog. The rarest type and different from all, were sold through Disney Auctions. This is a rare Final Color Sample Prototype Disney Auctions Big of Stitch as a Tourist. Stitch is approximately 28” tall from the base to the ears and stands on a sand and shell beach-type stand/base of 6" with a diameter of 14". His red sunglasses are removable as well. Stitch is in perfect condition, no cracks, marks, broken pieces etc. This is such a cool piece and extremely hard to find today. This big fig is very heavy and fragile, it weighs approximately 40 lbs. For this reason, I prefer local pickup. I’m located in Waxhaw, NC but would be willing to meet up with a buyer up to 6 hours away from where I live. If you would like to have Stitch shipped to you, I can do that as well but I wouldn’t recommend it. Stitch will be double boxed and have tons of padding to ensure his safe arrival & will be fully insured. If stitch arrives damaged in any way during shipping, it would be up to the buyer to start a claim with the shipping company to be reimbursed. This is a rare 2005 Disney Big Fig of Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter. It will make an excellent addition to any collector's Disneyana collection.
